HOLLYWOOD, Fla. ?? Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood is kicking pink up a notch this October in honor of Hard Rock International?s 13th annual PINKTOBER? breast cancer awareness campaign. On Thursday, October 4 at 5:30 p.m., Seminole Hard Rock, in participation with the Miami Food Trucks, will kick-off its PINKTOBER activities with ?PINKTOBER Rocks,? a special event and Sunset Lighting Ceremony benefiting the Breast Cancer Center Fund at Memorial Foundation and American Cancer Society?s ?Making Strides Against Breast Cancer?.

President and CEO of the Seminole Hard Rock Winterfest Boat Parade Lisa Scott-Founds and Easy 93.1FM Morning Show Host Susan Wise will be honored by Seminole Hard Rock with the role of ?flipping the ceremonial switch? that will instantaneously illuminate the hotel and Seminole Paradise Lake in passionate pink, as well as launch a spectacular pink fireworks display.

The evening?s festivities will also include an outrageous contest for the ?Most Creative Pink Shoes? ? men?s, women?s and children?s ? for participants who come wearing a PINKtacularly decorated pair of shoes. The contest will be judged by local celebrities and fashion experts including Scott-Founds and Wise along with Lips? Lady LaRouge, Daniela ?Nany? Ramirez, fashion blogger, Nanysklozet.com; Mindy Lang, on-air personality, Magic 102.7 and more. Prizes will be awarded to the first, second, and third place winners, with a $500 cash prize for the most creative men?s and women?s pink shoes. Plus, an iPad 2 will be awarded to the most creative children?s shoes entrant.

A pink fashion show will feature Seminole Hard Rock team members modeling PINKTOBER merchandise and fashions from Seminole Paradise retailers including Boss Connection, Bratz, Shoooz, Cache, Maccimo, Quiksilver, Sinbad Sports and White House|Black Market. Other evening festivities include a Seminole Hard Rock bake sale, the Plantation High School Marching Band and music by Rock With U Entertainment. Murphy?s Law and the newly opened The Swamp will offer pink drink specials at two bar stations. Plus, special offers will be available from the shops and restaurants in Seminole Paradise including pink drink specials at TATU and pink margaritas and bake sale at Hooters.

Also showing their support for breast cancer awareness will be the Women?s Imaging Center at Memorial Regional Hospital, Bikes & Beauties, Peterson?s Harley Davidson and the Florida Panthers Redline Lady Panthers.
